This beautiful Christmas Star quilt throw measures 58 x 58. This would make a beautiful decorator accent draped over a chair, couch or bed. It would be a wonderful gift to be cherished for years to come. Who doesn't love cuddling under a comfy quilt while you watch tv, read a book, or sleep? Pictures really don't do this justice. It is pictured on a queen-sized mattress to show the size. It is 100% cotton fabric, thread & batting, & invisible nylon thread. The fabrics are premium quality in red, green, ivory, mint green & a beautiful black print with cardinals, chickadees, holly, & pine. It has gold highlights. The backing is from the same Winter Elegance collection with elegant ornaments of red & gold with more holly on an ivory background. It is very soft, & the quilting is stunning. I quilted the center star with invisible thread so the texture would show without a colored thread detracting from it. The ivory corner blocks feature feathered wreaths. The mint green border features holly leaves & berries. Other ivory spaces are subtle as they are meant to be background to the main star. The outside border is quilted in 2 stripes all the way around using the invisible thread. The binding is a double fold red fabric sewn by machine thereby making it durable for wash after wash. The finished quilt has been washed with Woolite Delicates & pre-shrunk, & the colors set. Full disclosure, I have washed it twice because there was a hint of red die bleeding pink in one very small spot. I am sorry to say there is still a very tiny pink spot in one area. The last picture is zoomed in & circled for you to see. I have adjusted my pricing accordingly. This quilt was designed, pieced & quilted by me on my home sewing machine in Lexington, Kentucky. The quilting is both free motion & machine stitched. Each quilt is created with love, & attention to details. The quilt is machine washable gentle cold cycle & could be dried on gentle warm, but better to air dry. My home is smoke free but not pet free. My Westies sit near my feet.
