ABOUT THE STOCKINGS This stocking is handmade with fabric designed by Japanese watercolor artist Naomi Ito. Woven in Japan, this unique fabric dubbed double gauze consists of two layers of gauze tacked together every 3/8 during the weaving process. The quality & beauty of this textile has made it a First Campaign staple & the patterns designed by Naomi Ito are filled with life & movement. These stockings would be at home hanging from a mantle in Stockholm, brightening a cozy cabin in Vermont, or holding little packages in a sunny Los Angeles apartment. My earliest memories of Christmas are filled with images of my family's handmade holiday decorations sparkling from the mantle or adorning the dining room table, & while I cut back on some of the sequins & glitter for this 21st century update, the spirit of craftsmanship & a love for sewing remains.
