A 1909 Sarnia W&A / Wild & Adams / Edwardian Vase / Art Nouveau Green Floral Vase Vintage Vase with Pink & Red Roses & Ladies relaxing Wild & Adams (Ltd) manufactured earthenware at the Royal Crown Pottery, Warren Street, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent & operated from 1909 to 1927 although this mark was in use until 1917. The partners were Thomas Clarke Wild (principal partner) & Thomas Adams. Thomas Adams left the partnership in June 1911 & the business was continued by Thomas C. Wild., the name Wild & Adams continued. The business was incorporated as a limited company in 1923. The L in the base mark stands for Longton, the town where the factory was located. The oval vase is 7 1/4 inches tall, the base rim is 3 inches & it is 3 3/8 inches. The condition is fair as there is crazing & I think the gilt has been touched up but otherwise it is nice & clean & in fine fettle for the age. There is, what looks like, a crease in the printing on the front. It would be a super addition to any collection, excellent display or practical piece, or authentic period prop.
