These stunning traditionally handmade Ikat silk cushions will elevate your living room or bedroom with their beautiful bright teal-blue colour & stylish zigzag design. Ikat is one of the oldest forms of textile decoration, & can be found in many areas across Central Asia. Each country has its own distinct style & motifs, as seen in these vibrant patterns from Turkey. Ikat means 'to bind', as the silk threads used to create the design are reenforced with cotton, tied together & dyed in a method similar to batik, before the finished fabric is woven together. The end piece is a completely unique, striking blend of patterns & colours. These cushion covers are made completely by hand by artisans in Turkey. Every item is unique & will contain tiny details & blemishes resulting from the dying & binding process. Dimensions: 40cm x 40cm Please note: cushion covers sold without inner. The front side of our cushion covers are made from 80% silk, 20% cotton. The reverse side is 100% khaki green coloured cotton. Care instructions: Dry clean only.
