RARE Mid-Century Vintage Folding Magazine/ Newspaper Stand | 1950's | Antique This very rare, Italian inspired wooden folding magazine stand is testament to mid-century furniture craftsmanship. This piece is the ideal addition to any mid-century styled, minimalist home interior & is perfect for books, magazines or newspaper storage. Believed to have been created during the 1950's in Britain, this magazine stand has a wonderful vintage patina & beautifully textured handle through years of use; character & patina that can only be found on pre-owned vintage items. This truly is a one off, statement item for any home & we haven't seen anything similar on the vintage resale market to date! When lifting the magazine rack, the two original string woven side racks fold inwards keeping items secure. This simple yet delightfully satisfying piece of furniture has been a joy to use & refurbish. We think its worthy of another 70 years of love & use. Please note this is a vintage item which has been used & loved & therefore shows some signs of wear, including some age related marks consistent with the products age & past use; the stand is is however full of vintage charm!
