Hand painted by me, this coolie shade is inspired by the beautifully eclectic interiors of the Bloomsbury group, such as Charleston Farmhouse, home of Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant. This one has been inspired by a painted panel by Bell, with the floral motifs being white bell flowers & blue grass forms. The colour palette is warm brown, pinkish violet, teal & white. The shape of the shade is a coolie style suitable for pendant or lamp base fittings. The shade is also adjustable allowing you to tilt the shade to read or work by. The shade is painted using colourfast fabric paint which gives a warm ambience to blend with most interiors when lit. The larger size measures 9cm top diameter x 30cm lower diameter by 19cm in height. The smaller size has a base diameter of 18cm. See pictures. Larger size is the first one which shows a more open coolie shape. This shade also comes in a larger size of 35cm base width. Please ask for more details or, if you'd like one created for you in another colour scheme; that could be arranged for a reasonable extra cost.
