The rabbit sits in sunlight, contemplating the many foods available along the winding path to the heather covered moorland. This wool hanging is an Exmoor landscape, it is a typical scene from the area where I live & work. The red clay & iron rich soil is home to many wild animals, & also provides forage for sheep & cows for the local hill farms. Do look at all of the photos to get a sense of the scale of this piece. Also to appreciate the depth of colour in the various sections (and exquisite details like the standing stones in the tree line & the bubbling brook). This fabulous & unique farmhouse wall decor is made with wool from the Anclar Flock.... Hand washed fleece from my sheep's wool which I have dyed using a combination of natural & acid dyes, the wool has been needle felted into tweed. It took many hours of stitching with a barbed needle to produce this artwork. Measures approx 29 inches in length by 11 inches in width. This piece would grace any home with handmade comfort & style.
