Ewe Love Exclusive Bespoke Handmade Rugs The photos don't do the rug justice, its much nicer in real life x SALE PRICE ~ Normally 145.00 ~ I am selling at 115.00 I am selling a lot at a discounted price, simply because I haven't been able to make many rugs over the last year due to personal reasons plus taking in a lot of special needs sheep that take up so much of my time...Which means I have an awful lot of rugs in stock & this years shear to come Our Barry, every year his fleece changes colour, this year it has lovely grey/silvertones This is a one off piece, totally unique, as it comes from a very rare Black blacknose valais ...Our Barrie This is part 1.. These rugs are made with love & compassion ~ from the sheared fleece from rescued sheep. I love this breed of sheep & when i got chance to save 3 boys who were classed as worthless other than meat value, i jumped at the chance to save them.. They came from the meat industry & were pretty wild, so much so that even if you looked at them they would bolt & run in any direction. We are home to other valais sheep, who are ex show, or not quite good enough to breed from so end up with us. The black valais spent months watching from afar as we would cuddle the other lads, who totally LOVE affection, then one day boris & barry were engrossed in eating & i started to stroke him, he didn't realise & by the time he did realise it was me, he was hooked lol. It took a while but now he loves a cuddleto see this is truly amazing & just shows that Farmed animals have feelings & are capable of giving love ...they are thinking feeling beings. We take great pride in every item that we make but due to the nature of our little bunch of grazers, there may be small bits of lunch in the fleece. Each rug is carefully sheared, we handpick any dirt & vm from the fleece. Then it is hand felted which is very labour intensive, then finally it is washed over & over again. A true labour of love. The shape of the rugs is how it has come off the ewe & often there are raddle (dye markings) where the sheep has been colour marked, all giving it a very real authentic look.
