Presented is a wonderful Whiting sterling silver serving spoon. This piece is made in the Ivy pattern, which began production in 1865. As the name suggests, the pattern features a design of ivy leaves around the handle, surrounding an interesting imp mask design. The handle has a monogram of NMS in Gothic script. This piece is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice & crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, & no repairs. The piece is stamped with the Whiting maker's mark on the back of the bowl, with sterling as well as a patent date of 1865 & a retail mark of H & D Rosenberg on the stem.
