A set of 4 candlestick chairs. Crafted by Ercol, this is a set of four light finish Windsor Latticed Dining Chairs from the Originals range in Solid Oak & Beech - model 376. Inset bronze label. Ercol described the chair thus This delightful chair is another charming Windsor variation. An adaptation of an 18th century motif with the additional development of crossed sticks, which provide a tub shaped back flexible from the seat. Not only intriguing to the eye but resilient & very comfortable. The seats are the comfortable carved 'oyster' shape & the chairs have the original poppers on the underside should you wish to use seat pads. Designed by Lucian Ercolani, for his furniture company which was launched in England in 1920: Ercol is still using his designs & manufacturing new furniture today. in lovely original condition these chairs are structurally sound & sturdy, with no wobbles. Some surface wear & minor repairs, consummate with age including, some light scratching & marks. I have cleaned & re-polished the chairs to maintain the original patina. V I N T A G E All items I sell are 40-60 years old, this means that there will be signs of use. I restore everything to the best of my ability but there may still be hairline splits or one or two deep scratches that cannot be sanded away. This is rare but can be the way with vintage pieces.
