Set of 4 round coasters. Soft neutral shades. Waldorf from the Gatsby range. Perfect for keeping tables ring free. Easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth as it has a clear melamine coating on top. Durable due to the solid eucalyptus board in the middle. On the bottom there is dark green baize shown above. Each set tied with ribbon for a super gift. Fits through letterbox. The Process: The wood veneers were cut into hexagon shapes by hand using a template. Each hexagon was sanded on all sides by hand before being laid in the geometric design. Once dry the whole was gently sanded by hand again before a coating of sealer was applied to bring out the subtle colours of the veneers. The original was then scanned & the image printed onto eucalyptus board. A matt melamine coating was applied to the image to make a quality heat resistant to 140 degree product.
