Large placemat in Navy, White & Grey from the Milano range. An elegant, timeless design to complement your dining decor. Solid eucalyptus board gives it strength. Baize backing protects your table. Melamine coating gives heat resistance to approx. 140 Celsius. Size Approx: L38 x W29 x H0.48 centimetres or L15 x W11 1/2 x H1/2 inches. Wipe clean with a damp cloth & dry with a tea towel. Do not immerse in water or put in the dishwasher as it will warp & delaminate. The Process: The process starts with wood veneers dyed in Italy. These were laser cut into cubes. Each (yes really) was sanded on all sides by hand before being laid into the geometric design some call tumbling blocks or tumbling cubes. This was gently sanded by hand again before being coated with a sealer & lacquer to bring out the subtle colours of the veneers before being scanned & the image printed onto eucalyptus board & coated with matt melamine.
