Square Melamine COASTER. Easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. Strong & durable due to the eucalyptus board in the middle. Italian dark green baize backing to protect your surfaces from scratching. Square Coaster: 10 centimetres square x 0.32 deep OR 4 inches square approx The Process: I chose wood veneers dyed in Italy. They were laser cut then sanded on all sides by hand before being laid in the geometric design. Once dry the whole was gently sanded by hand again before a coating of sealer was applied to bring out the subtle colours of the veneers. The original was then scanned & the image printed onto eucalyptus board. A matt melamine coating was applied to the image to make a quality heat resistant product.
