Description

A superb & versatile metamorphic dropleaf dining table by E Gomme. 1950's. It can be used as a large low coffee table with the flaps up or down, then a neat push & turn piston mechanism pushes the central column upwards to create a dining table.The brass foot terminals are adjustable for absolute stability. The table is offered in excellent vintage condition with only signs of use commensurate with age. There is a minimal area of veneer loss at one end. Please see photos. Era: 1950s Size: 137 x 93cm open, 137 x 51cm flaps down. Height 54cm lowered x 74cm raised. Collection is welcome from our premises in Carmarthenshire, Wales or courier delivery can be arranged throughout mainland UK.
