Elevate your home design with a unique, handmade pottery vase! Height: 23 cm Width: 9 cm Each piece of mine is hand crafted with love & passion. The pots' journey starts on the pottery wheel in my own pottery studio in Utrecht, The Netherlands. After the rough shape is thrown from a speckled stoneware clay, the pieces are set aside to slowly dry to leather hard at which point I put them back again on the wheel to trim them to their final shapes. After they are bone-dry, I bisque fire them in my ceramic kiln at a 1000 degrees Celsius. At this point the vessels are not fit for usage but are in the perfect condition to glaze them with my own self-made glaze. Then the the glazed bisqueware is going back again to the kiln to be fired at 1220 (cone 6), during which the elements are melting, formulating the attractive effects in the glaze. After the last firing, I make sure to finish each piece with light sanding. All of my ceramics are food, dishwasher & microwave safe. I use multiple layers of bubble wrap, packaging peanuts & double-walled boxes to make sure the ceramic pieces will arrive safely to your home without any damage.
