This wide brown ceramic serving bowl can be used for serving your guests with the main course of a fabulous dinner or even a large, healthy salad. It can also be used in the oven for baking your favorite pie. It may be purchased together with a small matching bowl ( for the sauce to the main course ) ( see the Style options shown ), or the small bowl can be purchased alone. It is made of black clay & glazed in two glazes which together have created beautiful bluish & dripping effects on the outer side of the bowl. When creating items, I often & on purpose, leave traces of finger lines in the clay because I want them to show through the glaze. The glaze has covered these lines with different shades & given depth & uniqueness to this piece. Zoom in on the images to see what I mean. This item is handmade by me on the potter's wheel. This item is made from ceramic stoneware & is fired to a temperature of 1200 degrees celsius (2192 Fahrenheit). It is glazed with lead-free & food safe glazes & is ideal for use in the oven & microwave but not over an open flame. It is dishwasher safe. If the item is out of stock, I can make another one, but the new item may vary slightly in size. That's the beauty of handmade objects.
