Hello & welcome to my Etsy store. Here is an exprimental & unusual gourd lamp design. To be honest with you, I couldn't come up with a name for this design & decided to leave it as it is. I know I don't have to have a name for them but again I like to give them an identity as well. COmmON CHARACTERSTCS OF MY GOURD LAMPS Traditionally almost all gourd lamps are either varnished or painted in white. Altough they look great in the night time & in darkness, I found them boring during the day time. That's why I put an extra focus on exterior coloring of the gourds so that they also perform as decorative objects which would suit with your existing decoration. This is also how I try to desitinguish my work from the others. I use Montana Colors 94, a Spanish spray paint known to be the best in the world for its technical qualities. I stock a good variety of their color scala. If you like the design but not sure about the coloring, please communicate as I have a free coloring service. I can apply any color onto the same design. Comes with a wooden base, complete with cabling, on/off switch & power plug suitable for your country. Calabash based gourd lamps can only be handmade & it is not possible to manufacture gourd lamps from calabash due to the nature of the raw material. Although each & every single gourd is unique & unlike each other, most of them look the same & that's how we are able to apply the same design onto different gourds. But again, once completed, each gourd lamp is unique & one single copy craftwork. Altough there is an increase at the number of gourd crafters in the world, due to its challenging making process & the raw material being a seasonal product with limited availability, a handmade gourd lamp is still a rare item to be found in any shopping mall. With such characteristics, a gourd lamp is an ideal decorative object for home decor suitable for all tsates & styles from modern to boho. My gourd lamps are light weight & portable & can be used anywhere in the house, in your living room or bedroom as you wish.
