This large double bed size patchwork quilted quilt features fresh & bright pink, yellow & green fabrics in a summery design. It can be folded into a pillow (quillow) for easy display or storage. It would make a fantastic soft throw, gift for a child or teenage girl or housewarming gift. HOW IS IT MADE This quilt has been made from 100% cotton fabrics in pink, yellow, green with fresh modern designs, on a background of white fabric. The fabrics have floral & geometric designs, & have been arranged into a diamond design. There is a large pink border & then a smaller segmented border with feature fabrics interspersed with white. A second pink border surround this, & then whole quilt is bound in bright pink satin bias binding, & hand finished. The quilt is layered with 100% cotton wadding, & backed plain pink cotton fabric. Machine quilted in a grid pattern has been used to secure the layers. The back of the quilt also has a hidden pocket, where the entire quilt can be folded in on itself to form a quillow (quilt pillow). This makes the quilt have a dual function as a pillow, & means the quilt can be folded easily for storage or display. SIZE The quilt is approx 180 x 180 cm (72 x 72 inches) & is suitable for use on a single or double bed, or as a sofa throw. The photos above are taken on a king sized bed. WHO IS IT FOR This beautiful quilt is versatile - it could be given as a gift to a child or teenage girl. It would add colour & vibrancy to a sofa or could be used in a caravan as a throw or quilt. CARE INSTRUCTIONS The quilt can be washed on a gentle machine cycle, using a colour catcher sheet. Reshape while damp & dry flat. Once it is dry iron gently. The quilt will get softer with each wash, & there will be some shrinkage after laundering, giving it the classic 'wrinkle'. The quilt has been washed once by me.
