This bright & colourful handmade patchwork quilt is suitable for a double or king sized bed. HOW IS IT MADE This quilt has been made from 100% cotton fabrics from the designer Kaffe Fasset (and Kaffe Fasset studios). The amazingly colourful cottons are bold & vivid, & make a stunning design. The quilt blocks have been made in a 'string' design with different black & white fabric in the centre diagonal strips of fabric in a square block. The blocks have then been arranged to create a ripple effect, with a central diamond & 4 corner diamonds, with the effect extending into the border in the corners. A wide black border has been added to contrast & frame the colour. The quilt has a 100% organic cotton wadding layer & is backed with a black & grey cotton with a swirl design. The quilt has been professionally long arm quilted by Harmony Quilt Co, with a light grey thread in a wide swirl design called 'African Samba'. This quilt was made as part of a 'block swap' & 12 quilters from all around the world contributed to the individual patchwork blocks. & I then created the design & completed my quilt. SIZE This large quilt is approx 200 x 200 cm (78 x 78 inches). It is suitable for double or king size bed (photo shown on king size bed). WHO IS IT FOR This modern quilt would be suitable for older children, teenagers, or adults of any age. Although there is some floral fabrics used in the quilt, the geometic design & colour pallet make this suitable for males & females. It would also make a fantastic graduation or wedding present. It is sure to become a treasured heirloom for your family. CARE INSTRUCTIONS The quilt can be washed on a gentle machine cycle using a colour catcher sheet. Reshape while damp & dry flat.
