Gorgeous antique tureen planter & underplate. Made from porcelain sauce/soup tureen. Perfect planter for bulbs, orchids or succulents. This classic sauce tureen has drainages hole drilled in the bottom for plant health & has a classic pattern with a cobalt blue rim & gold detail. The under plate protects your surfaces from water damage, it is a brown floral transferware piece in the "Belgrave" pattern by Grimwade Bros, Earthenware, Majolica & China manufacturer at Winton Pottery, Hanley & Stoke (1886-1900). Dimensions: Tureen is 20 cm x 12 cm x 6 cm high Plate is 20.5 cm x 14.5 cm Vintage condition. All my planters are made from slightly damaged items or I would feel too guilty to drill holes in them! in this case the tureen has some staining & crazing & the under plate has a chip. The gold also has some wear. Please look carefully at the pics. This is a really beautiful & practical object, a perfect gift for any vintage home! (Free postage for UK.
