Antique white ironstone tongue dish - ironstone tongue plate - butchery - butcher - butchers display - ceramic tongue plate - Crown Devon Fielding's Stoke on Trent England Rd No 695399 An early 20th century orange ironstone tongue dish, beautifully decorated with bold under sepia black transfer lettering surrounded with pink & yellow flowers. Used by butchers & country house kitchens. The plate has a thicker raised middel part to present Ox tongue, both sliced & whole. Produced by Crown Devon in the beginning of the 20th century with their sepia makers transfer & registration number to the reverse. The red Devon Ware Fieldings mark to the underside, dates the plate between 1917 - 1930. Condition: in great antique condition with minor wear, without damage. Approximate dimensions: 25cm diameter (10) 2cm heigh (0.75) SHIPPING: - Standard shipping includes tracking in the UK.
