An original Otagiri Japan Hostess Dish from 1983, with original gold sticker on the bottom labeled Otagiri Japan, a hand painted, handcrafted ceramic dish in the design of two green holly leaves with red holly berries connected together. This dish comes in the original box, which is also labeled as the Otagiri Hostess Dish. Perfect for holiday entertaining, or to set out filled with your favorite candy (my personal fave are M&Ms) for yourself or guests, this small candy dish would compliment any winter seasonal decor & hold delicious candy to boot! Otagiri Manufacturing Company imported Japanese ceramics between 1958 & 1994. All Otagiri ware was handcrafted & hand painted by a group of artists hired to design & create pieces. The Otagiri name was trademarked in 1980. Authentic Otagiri can be identified by a gold & yellow sticker & the stamp Otagiri Japan. The brand was discontinued in 1994 after the company was sold, & because they are no longer manufactured, these original Otagiri pieces become valuable collectibles!
