Here's a set of pillowcases that have a bit of everything you might want. The cases are made from percale cotton; & if you love a crisp pillowcase, you'll like finely woven percale cases. Percale has a tight, flat cotton weave with a crisp feel that resembles a dress shirt when ironed. Left un-ironed & it will give you a relaxed, lived-in look. Plus, this option breathes well for those who get warm at night. The crocheted lace is a vintage floral-filet design crocheted with very fine #20 Coats & Clark white crochet thread. in total, it is approximately 8 inches wide & hangs about 5 inches over the pillowcase edge. in order to make the filet design pop, I use a double-crochet cluster stitch which adds a bit of dimension to the florals. Added for more interest is the bit of scrunching above the lace. This was done with some surface crochet. The cases are a generous 21 inches wide (new standard width) & length will be determined by you when ordering. Determine your own custom length or use the following standards. Pillowcase 21 x 30 (Standard Pillow 20x26) Pillowcase 21 x 32 (Super Standard/Queen 20x28) Pillowcase 21 x 34 (Queen Pillow 20x 30) The pillowcase should be approximately 4 inches longer than the pillow itself. The finished length will not include the overhang width of the crocheted edging. Measure your pillow to be sure you have selected the correct length of pillowcase. Pillows, especially king size, do vary in size. Machine wash, gentle; non-chlorine bleach; tumble dry, remove promptly. Some touch-up ironing may be required. Steam the crocheted edging & gently pull into shape. Pillowcases will be shipped to you, hemmed at the proper length. They will be freshly washed, steam-ironed, lightly starched, & packaged in tissue paper. All machine sewing & crochet work were done by me. Because of the crocheted lace, the pillowcase seam is located in the back, rather than a side seam. PLEASE REMEMBER to include your desired length when ordering.
