Illustration & Skateboarding are the obvious ingredients for the super fresh illuskate table. Designed by Stuart Melrose & made in a similar way to skateboards today, the tables are all collaborations with his favourite artists & illustrators from around the world! The Artist work on this table is the international surf scribbler Droog79 with a piece called 'Big Hair Day (White). Droog79 is the alter-ego of a salty-faced, suburbia-fleeing, inky-fingered, board-propelled artist, illustrator, designer & lawn bowls aficionado. Droogs weird & wandering work via ink, paint, pixels, words or just a line in the sand has festooned walls, bodies, beaches, posters, windows, shopfronts, skate & surfboards, phones, laptops, canvas, clothing, & publications from Milton Keynes to Mexico. Made from layers of birch ply then topped with a piece of limited edition artwork protected by a high-grade melamine laminate. The wood is waxed for protection with Stuart Melrose's logo die-cut from grip-tape & placed on the underneath. The tables are all limited editions of 300 & are numbered. Due to the manufacture of the tables & that the art is printed before being pressed into the table, the placement of the print may differ slightly from one table to the next. We use the table outside on the deck on a sunny day, but it is not designed & made as garden furniture & not to be left out or suitable for bad weather conditions. (in the packaging we supply little rubber pads/feet in case you have hard flooring. To protect your floor & also the table. Because of the nature of the hand made bent ply table some atmospheric conditions can cause the table to move/distort a minuscule amount like with all wood. in some cases, this is just enough so as the table may wobble on a hard floor without putting your pads in the right position. Equally sometimes peoples floors are not quite as flat as they think they are, but either way pads in the right place will solve this.
