This gorgeously-engraved brass tray offers a multitude of uses, whilst also keeping your table or sideboard looking great. The tray is of a medium-large size, & circular in shape. It functions as a tea or cocktail tray, a serving platter for arranging a cheese board or grazing board, candle-holder, or a plant stand. It is covered in filigree engravings in an abstract, botanical design, giving an appealingly boho aesthetic to the piece. The tray is composed of eye-catching solid brass, & with a shallow edge & lip to the sides. The golden brass makes it the perfect surface on which to place festive candles, & offers protection to a wooden surface below, as well as reflecting the light beautifully. The tray is offered unpolished, allowing it's beautiful patina of age to be appreciated - it is flecked across the surface with dots of dark patination. However it could easily be polished clean to achieve a higher shine. Measurements... Diameter: approx 25cm Depth: approx 1cm The tray is in very good condition, other than the patination already noted, which are considered an asset to the piece (please see photos). This style of tray was most commonly produced in the 1970s, although no maker's details are present on this piece.
