An extra-large antique porcelain serving dish, beautiful in its simplicity. The tureen is made of porcelain, pure white in colour. The piece is produced by Bernardaud, & was produced in the renowned porcelain workshops of Limoges. The bowl is wide & shallow, with a pedestal foot that raises it slightly. The two side handles are integrated, & aid with carrying. The extra large size of the bowl makes it ideal for a range of serving purposes, as well as the display of flowers - it would make a stunning hyacinth bowl for planting living blooms in the Spring. Measurements... Height: approx 12cm Diameter at widest (excluding handles): approx 24cm Width including handles: approx 33cm The piece is very good condition, with no discernible marks of age (please see photos). The tureen is marked with 'B & Co', & the fact that it was made in Limoges, France. The base marks were used around 1900.
