Description
A stunning & sizeable vintage 'Shark's Tooth' vase designed by Gunnar Nylund for Strombergshyttan, Sweden. It's model number B884 & 7.5 tall. It's the more unusual clear version of the design (with a hint of arctic blue). The design dates from around 1955-1958 & is more commonly found with the caramel coloured inner core. A large & heavy solid chunk of glass - 18.5cm x 12.5 x 6.5cm, it weighs a very hefty 1.95kg. It's tactile & beautifully formed - handmade & mouth blown. Great condition, displays very well & would look excellent in a collection. Unsigned, but with the shape & size & pontil it's undoubtedly a Shark's Tooth. Please see all photos. Free P&P to the UK.
