Strong, bold lines define this sculptural wood art depicting two fishermen in a rowboat & a sea gull. This plaque looks as though it is carved out of a solid piece of wood, but on the back of the 13 long (by 10 wide & 1 thick) oval you can see the design has been carved & then mountedall in a warm golden wood. There is a hanging bracket on the back. The wooden plaque is in overall good vintage condition: there is a groove in the wood under the finish that is in the original material; there are also some dings & chipsone on the tip of a seagull's wing & one on the edge of the plaque (see photos). The fishermen & gull do not look mass-produced (the fishermen & gull appear hand-carved), & we have never seen a piece like this.
