Sgrafitto pottery, Black & orange ceramic bowl, Modern cereal bowl, Small decorative serving bowl, Ninth anniversary gift. This ceramic bowl was decorated in sgrafitto style & glazed with a pop of orange inside. It could function as a decorative bowl, a large cereal bowl, or a small fruit bowl. Dimensions: 6 diameter top, 3 tall, 3 diameter bottom I made this bowl from a ball of clay on the potter's wheel. After the initial form was shaped, I painted it with black underglaze & carved a design on the outside. The piece dried, it was fired in an electric kiln, glazed & fired again.
