This is an antique silk crepe piano shawl. Piano shawls were initially used to cover & decorate grand pianos. Made circa 1920s of a fringed cream silk crepe which is silk embroidered with flowers. The fringe is very fine with a knotted pattern to create a lace effect. The shawl could be worn, used as a throw, table cover or bed cover. There is wear to the silk & some marks.
