These custom fleece sweaters are hand-made to order. The soft fleece sweater is short-sleeved & comes in sizes 2xS, extra small, small, medium, large, & extra large. Dachshund sizing is 3 longer in the back with shortened sleeves. If you are not sure which size to choose, feel free to email me. - Fleece sweater for all breeds of dog & cat - Dachshund sizes available See below - Custom sizing for broader-chested dogs & cats is available See below - Cut higher on the belly to prevent soiling of the shirt - Good quality fleece - Pullover style, does not have any kind of closures For Dachshund option 3 longer along the back with 2 to 3 sleeves. I have made every effort to provide you with detailed information on sizing so that you get a perfect fit. However, if you order an item & it does not fit I will gladly exchange the item for something new in the appropriate size. Care instructions for fleece fabric: Machine Washing: Use a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water. Hot water can cause fleece to pill or shrink. Detergent: Use a mild detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners as they can damage fleece fibers. Pilling Prevention: To reduce pilling, wash fleece inside-out & avoid washing it with abrasive fabrics like denim. Avoid Overloading: Do not overload the washing machine to ensure proper cleaning & prevent excessive friction that can cause pilling. Drying: Air-dry fleece items whenever possible. If using a dryer, use a low-heat setting to prevent damage or shrinking. Remove promptly to avoid wrinkles. Avoid Ironing: Fleece fabric can melt or become damaged by high heat, so avoid ironing it. If necessary, use a low-heat setting & place a cloth between the fleece & the iron. Remember, caring for fleece properly can help maintain its softness, appearance, & durability over time. Fleece sweaters have about an inch of comfortable stretch. The measurements provided are the finished sizes so if your friend's chest measures 19 it would be best to go with a Medium size.
