Gorgeous little tea plates from renowned porcelain maker Sarreguemines, dating from the early 1900s. The model is 'Romantic', & features a transferware pattern of blue roses on a white background. There is fluting around the prettily scalloped edges. The plates have a diameter of 19.5cms (just under 8 inches). They were possibly saucers at the outset, but are certainly big enough to use as little plates. On the back, there is a lavish backstamp with a rural scene, the pattern name & maker's name, overlaid with a printed stamp used from 1920-1950. It also says 'Dcor garanti inaltrable' (pattern guaranteed not to fade). Good vintage condition, with some slight allover crazing. Would make a lovely addition to a rustic or shabby chic interior.
