Handmade stoneware ceramic pottery mugs. Light weight, comfortable handle with thumb rest with a choice of chowder or coffee mug. Offered in black, blue or green. This roundish, squat chowder or soup mug is a great shape as it holds in heat or cold. Perfect for soup lovers, anything hot or cold, great as an ice cream bowl too & is about 3 1/4 tall x 4 wide (mm x 12mm). The coffee mug still has the roundish shape but is slightly taller & the width opening is about 3 1/2 wide (anything under 4 wide, I consider a regular coffee mug.. Holds approximately 12 - 16 oz. or about 2 cups. (Photo of the 2 black mugs show difference between coffee & chowder mugs) If you like your mugs large, average, or small, please let me know & I'll pick the one I feel best suits, so please express it in the comment section given on the order form. Also, if you are purchasing more than one mug & want them as a set, it may be better to ask first if there are matches among my stock or let me know if you want to purchase more than a set of 2 & we can work together to get you a nice matching set. Glazes are safe, (also for microwave & dishwasher) formulated & mixed by the artist & will vary slightly as the beauty of this glaze is it's brown highlights - some will have more brown than others depending on the thickness of glaze vs temperature of the firing which this glaze is so sensitive, it will even vary depending on where it's placed in the kiln.
