Description
All framed works are individual & unique, made in a textile art mixed media style. This particular piece is mounted in a medium ( 20cm x 20cm & 3cm in depth ) white shadow box frame. Each piece of textiles has hemmed edging which is also visible at the back of the frame (displayed in image above) this allows the piece itself to be removable. The work is stitched in various cotton threads & wools in order to create a life like foliage texture, combined with beaded embellishments & organza layered flowers. Amongst the sewn rocks I have combined selected text from books through stitch which state the words, grow, fresh beauty, bunches, flowers & white. My work has been inspired by the beauty of nature capturing the flowers cascading over the rocks. Any further questions please feel free to ask.
