ALICE - This unique jewel-mask is a decorative wall art object to bring a touch of color, character & joy to your interior. Ready to hang, it is entirely handmade, adorned with gemstones & gold-plated elements. It consists of two poplar wood elements (sourced locally) each having a thickness of 13 mm (0.5 inches) that I cut & sand by hand. I then decorate them with paint & acrylic markers & apply a coat of matte varnish. It also features Botswana agate stones on which I carried out a work of carving (grooving) in order to crimp them with polyester thread, rocaille & miyuki beads, gold-plated elements, as well as small rhodonite, amazonite & tourmaline stones. The outline of the mask is made with nylon thread & ropes. With its notch on the back, you just need to knock in a nail to hang it!
