Panels are joined together using half-blind dovetail joints to make it look beautiful whilst adding a very strong non-mechanical joint. A cutout on the front of the chest protects the child's fingers from being trapped when closing the lid. A gas strut is also fitted to make the lid open automatically when lifted slightly & help it stay open. These toy chests can be personalised to your own preference at no additional cost. Please let us know if you would like lowercase letters with a leading capital or all capitals. Hearts & stars can also be added. Some people prefer a closed plinth at the bottom to prevent toys from getting lost underneath, this is not a problem. Just let us know. Some light coloured boxes show knots through as it's natural pine. Dimensions in cm: 65w x 35d x 36h The toy chests are packed in made to measure double wall cardboard boxes with thick polystyrene corners all around to make sure they will arrive with you in the same condition it left us.
