Autumn Bliss: Reclaimed wood wall art The one in the photos measures 36x72 This art piece is made to order with a 8 to 10 week lead time. This piece is inspired by the fall weather, when the leaves are changing colors & the winds start to pick up & blow the leaves off the tree. I also added the dramatic effect of night sunset with a full moon coming out to light up the crisp night. A multi-layered technique it gives the piece depth & life. The wood used in this piece consist of a mix of reclaimed wood I have gathered over the years from old barns, houses & fences taken down in my area. All the patina on the wood used for this piece is due to the aging & weathering process over many years. Most of the colors you see in this piece are completely natural due to the aging & weathering process over time. That is what makes the piece extra special. This piece can be best appreciated in person; when the light changes in the room & you move side to side the piece comes to life. A lot time went into the making of this piece, I have logged over 160 hours in just the building process. This piece has been sketched out in my mind for the last couple of years & I have finally turned it into a reality & I am so happy with the finish outcome of this piece. I sprayed two coats of low VOC water based sealer to protect the piece without taking away from the look & texture of the reclaimed wood. Each art piece is hand signed & dated in the back & also has a custom made laser engraved wood name tag mounted on the side of the piece. I also include a heavy duty mounting bracket.
