This beautiful vase is one of my Blue Wave collection. I have tried in the pictures to capture the amazing sense of motion there is in this stunning vase. It is hand thrown in porcelain with a transparent glaze inside. Outside the porcelain has been left untouched apart from the dynamic application of a dark blue glaze. This is a medium sized piece with a reasonable amount of weight left in the bottom so that it can carry tall branches if you want to actually use it as a vase. As a piece of art it is happy standing on its own, making a dramatic centrepiece on a table or mantlepiece. The Blue Wave series is named for that sense of motion which is captured in the blue glaze, like a huge oceanic wave curling across the horizons.
