Nativity Story Ornament Set I love the Holy Family & constantly look to them for guidance as to how I would like my own family to look. The Nativity story is especially dear to my heart because there are so many layers & lessons in the story of Christ's birth about how to love well. I leave several Nativities up year-round, in my own home, to remind myself to live in a sacrificial way & to will the good for the other. I am often inspired to do better in my own relationships by looking to the Holy Family. I especially love to find ways to help children enter into the the domestic church or the First Church of the Holy Family. Children learn the best through play. So, by creating these ornaments I've tried to make the Nativity Story a tangible thing for children to experience through play in order to learn about the Holy Family & the people they encountered who were amazed & inspired at the birth of our Savior. The set includes 12, double-sided, wooden oval ornaments with images that were designed & originally hand-painted by me. My Nativity Story ornaments are not breakable so they are excellent bottom-tier of the Christmas tree options for little hands to help. Or they can be hung as a colorful garland from your fireplace mantel. Each ornament comes with a coordinating story card to help you tell the story of Christ's birth. Interact with your children by reading a story card & let them find the matching picture. Turn the ornaments over to the colorful snowflake design & mix them up to hide the characters. Then flip them over one by one, letting your little-ones tell the story! Teach your children how to put them in rainbow order. These have SO many uses to enhance your walk within Advent & help your children learn through the important work of play. Littles, Middles & Bigs will love to touch, match, organize & tell the Nativity story with these colorful & sturdy ornaments. Making these ornaments has been such a labor of love for me.
