These coasters are ceramic tiles measuring 11x11cm, featuring my original print of King Edward's Bay, or Shortsands, in Tynemouth. Tynemouth Priory sits on the headland, the end of Tynemouth pier peeks out from behind the rocks, & you can even see the roof of Riley's Fish Shack at the bottom! The design itself is a collage of monoprinted paper which I printed myself. This is a technique I have been using more & more in my work. The colour scheme is bright & bold, with blues, yellows, browns & greens. The coasters are backed in cork to prevent them scratching your surface. I have them made for me locally in Whitley Bay.
