This coaster is a ceramic tile measuring 11x11cm, featuring my original design of the castle & sand dunes on the beach at Bamburgh, Northumberland. The design itself was created from a linocut print, over which I collaged monoprint sections. This is a technique I have been using more & more in my work. The colour scheme is bright & bold, with blues, oranges, yellows & greens. This Bamburgh coaster works well twinned with my Lindisfarne linocut collage coaster, which is similar in style & colour - see separate listing. The coaster is backed in cork to prevent it from scratching your surface. I have my coasters made locally, in Whitley Bay, & they are of great quality - they will last years & years!
