Description
This vintage music cabinet was just asking to be painted . First step was to give it a good clean . Next I painted the background foliage . I decided to add a family of deers in the foreground along with some trees . I used all Annie Sloan paints for this part . I painted in the grass on the top of the cliff edges & then moved on to the frame . I used a colour called sailcloth for this it's a deep cream & was perfect for the soft look I was going for . I sanded the top back to the original light wood . I topped everything with a generous coat of soft wax . The cabinet itself is an Edwardian piece . Inside there are lots of shelves where sheets of music would have been housed . It could work as a filling cabinet if working from home or maybe for linen . It's a one off original piece & I have signed it on the back . I loved creating this one .
