Initially, we sculpted it on the potter's wheel. It then went through the firing, glazing & re-firing process at 2012oF (1100oC). We made the vase keep up with the modern home. It is completely safe to use with water, it does not leak. The glaze used for the vase contains neither lead nor cadmium.
