Made in the Gablonz region of old Czechoslovakia, beaded Christmas ornaments such as these have been made for over 100 years & catalogues in the Museum of Jablonec have images of spiders, planes, cars, animals & insects, all made from antique mercury glass beads This is highly unique & original. Vintage 1940's Czech glass bead Christmas ornament. Made with blown mercury silver glass beads, seed beads & satin bugle glass beads. in original condition. Size: 2.5 Please note, this is an original antique Gablonz ornament & not a reproduction. As such it will have signs of wear & use & the mercury glass beads often tarnish over time.
