Here for sale we have a stunning c.1970s studio pottery mug produced at Sylvan Wye pottery in Herefordshire. The name of the potter who worked there at the time is currently unknown, but their work is clearly of an excellent quality! The potter appears to have used a wax resist technique in order to achieve the abstract pattern, the rich matte black contrasting the whites & greens of the glossier glaze. Condition is overall very good, with some crazing in the bottom of the mug (see photos).
