Each piece of reclaimed slate is individual & been locally sourced in the Glens of Antrim. Whether from an old homestead roof or an old building, each piece of slate has its own little story to tell. This product has been traditionally sandblasted by hand which involves propelling sand & air at high pressure in order to create a depth in the design. The irish quote has been finished with gold paint. As slate is a natural material no two pieces will be the same, there will be a variation in texture & some pieces may have particles of 'fools gold' but this all adds to the beauty.
