The texture of lace impression lends itself to holding & warming your hands. These slab folded, lace impressed 12 oz. mugs are a tactile sensation as you hold that special cup of brew. The look of cloth reveals a quality of clay that retains its texture in the finished piece. On these mugs I glaze over the design of the lace because it is a strong image that is enhanced by the colors that blend like a water color painting. Using two images; one with flowers integrated in a wave design & the other a clear bouquet of roses, I blend them with a white glaze base with blue & green overglazes.
