Welcome to my shop. I'm Sarah a Potter & Fine artist, each & every item has been hand thrown, decorated & fired by myself in my studio. I love throwing on the wheel & have done so for many many years now after my degree. Once thrown on the wheel I take great care in hand decorating each piece of pottery creating a truly unique & carefully crafted piece of pottery. This stoneware mug was thrown using a rich dark clay which I then hand painted with shades of pink & orange slip in a retro geometric looped pattern. I love the bold colour's & patterns of the seventies & for an extra flourish I added touches of 22 carot gold lustre. This mug has then been through 3 separate firings in total. To take extra special care of this mug & due to the gold lustre this mug should be handwashed & not be placed in the microwave. Measurements are approximate but as close as I can ascertain!
