Sustainable denim carpet made from up cycled denim & white cotton strips, materials from the fashion industry in India, Handmade with artisan care & experience, Quality flat weaving in original design, A good choice to match a more conscious life style, Hand made in private homes, not made in factories size : 180 x 250 cm weight : 12 kg / 26 lbs height : 1,5 cm SUSTAINABLE : My whole collection is hand woven on hand looms, by local artisans in India. The weavers work form their home, which means the production process does not emit any fumes. Further, the weavers are safe from working in hazardous, run down factories. The work does not require a commute either, saving weavers money & time. Every carpet is unique & individually made by hand, although they follow the same pattern. The colours may vary. MAINTENANCE : Chindis are easily maintained. You can spot clean it by hand using cold water at home - be careful that the detergent is bleach-free. Use a mild detergent & a clean cloth. Blot & pat dry. We have made the rugs reversible to prolong the life, & can be spot cleaned as needed. Our suggestion is to flip the Chindi rug once every 3 months, for even wear. Sustainable rag rugs cannot be washed in one piece since they are an unspecified mix of cut-off materials. Flatten unwanted folds: Shipping, storage or impressions from heavy furniture can occur. Correction is easy. With a clean, damp (wring dry), cotton tea towel, - Lay tea towel flat over the unwanted fold - Place a heavy flat weight, like books or magazines on top. - Leave for a few hours - Remove & leave the area to dry.
