My Small to Medium Sized Oslo Frames are the ultimate contemporary frame, named for its Scandinavian boxy style - its ideal for a modern home Listed here in Grey, Olso is also available in Mahogany, White, & Silver - check out my Store to purchase these. If you would like a mount to go with your frame I would be more than happy to accommodate this, & can currently offer mounts in Black, White, & Ivory - just send me a message so we can discuss what size would look best in proportion to your picture! If you are looking for a size that is not currently available please get in touch so that I can create a custom sized frame for you! Because all my frames are made by hand I can easily be accurate to a fraction of a centimetre! How to choose your frame size To choose the right size frame for your picture simply measure the length & width of the thing you would like framed All frames sizes are based off of the backboard, so that the picture will sit comfortably inside the frame & not slip, leaving visible gaps! This means that the viewing window will be a couple of millimetres on each side than the frame size - this difference is called the rebate. This is because in all frames there is a lip to keep the Perspex, Picture, & backboard securely in the frame & prevent them falling through The reason that all frames are measured on the back board is that different frame mouldings have different widths & different rebates, & so measuring them based on either the overall size or the viewing window size would lead to an ill fitting frame for your pictures! If you aren't sure what size would be best for your pictures please send a message so I can advise! About the Frame This frame is made using Polcore, Perspex, & an MDF back board. This makes them lightweight for shipping. Polcore is a type of plastic which gives a highly effective & convincing wood effect, while being much cheaper & more lightweight than real wood All Frames come with hanging hooks, but only those up to 12x10 also come with a kickstand, meaning they are suitable for table mounting as well as wall mounting! The frame moulding used to make these frames has a width of 25mm, a depth of 27mm, & a rebate of 9mm. All of my frames come with a sheet of Perspex instead of glass By using Perspex instead of glass there is a hugely reduced risk of breakage during the shipping process, making it safer for you to open the package as there is no chance of broken glass falling out Visually, Perspex is virtually indistinguishable from glass, & being shatter proof is safer in the event of the picture frame falling To protect from scratches during the shipping process the Perspex sheet has two pieces of plastic film - one on each side.
